The project is aimed at regular gallery visitors and tests their willigness to participate on an artwork. I bred swarm of mosquitos and placed it in a closed dark gallery room. Lifetime of the artwork depends on visitor´s decision - the more people will be willing to donate their blood, the more mosquitos will be reproduced and the more intensive buzz sound will be. If the visitors will not enter the room or start to kill the mosquitos inside, their number will decrease and sound will mute.

Rodina

2006 (together with Michal Šmeral)

When you enter the room, you became a member of a family with other people who are inside. Together as you move, you get sounds connected with the specific spot and the room turnes into a big music instrument and you are one of the players.

Alegorie

Audiovisual composition controlled over my mother´s sewing machine. At households in the 80´s the needlework was overpassing the area of a hobby, it became a must. I try to project the joy in the video on my mother´s old paper designs.

Ants are generating sounds by digging paths and chambers. The sounds are tones of musical instruments of symphonic orchestra. In four floors are strings, woodwinds, braswinds and others. Every instrument has its own zone, where the tones are placed according to a tone grid. Final sound composition is a transcript of the ant house construction.
